East Anglian Air Ambulance called to Coney Hill, Beccles, after man in 70s hit by car





The air ambulance was called to a town yesterday evening after a man in his 70s was hit by a car.

The man was left with serious injuries after the crash at 7.10pm on Coney Hill, Beccles, at around 7pm.

A black Audi A3 which was travelling along Banham Road collided with the man at the junction with Coney Hill.

The road was closed while the victim was treated and police carried out inquiries.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said an ambulance, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

The man was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by road.

A police spokesperson said he remains at hospital.
