The swarm of birds momentarily formed the shape of the long-eared mammal over Hen Reedbeds, near Reydon.
Photographer Rob Holmes, 44, took them at his favourite wildlife haunt on Saturday, November 20.
Rob, of Lowestoft, said: "It was a truly hare-raising experience...
"But seriously, I was awestruck at the starlings' precision flying; moving as one enormous form, and briefly morphing into the shape of a gigantic hare.
"It shows the real beauty and mastery of birds of a feather flocking together."
