Flood alerts remain in place in Suffolk after Storm Darragh caused rising river levels
Several flood warnings remain in place after Storm Darragh battered the East of England over the weekend.
Much of Suffolk and Norfolk suffered from heavy rainfall between Friday and Sunday after a yellow warning was issued last week.
The following rivers in Suffolk currently have a flood warning in place:
River Waveney. Diss to Ellingham, including Bungay
Water levels in the River Waveney, near Bungay, continue to rise after 48 hours of rainfall.
Flooding to low-lying land, roads and riverside areas is likely to continue throughout today.
The most likely areas to be affected are Diss, Eye, Harleston and Bungay.
The forecast predicts no more rain from tomorrow, with residents urged to take care along riverside footpaths.
River Stour, Sudbury to Dedham
Flooding is possible along the River Stour with water levels continuing to rise.
While the situation is not expected to escalate, all low-lying areas between Sudbury and Dedham are at risk of becoming waterlogged.
River Deben and River Lark
Also at risk are a string of villages between Woodbridge and Stowmarket.
Low-lying areas on both the River Deben and River Lark may become waterlogged today.
According to the Environment Agency, riverside areas along the Deben, between Debenham and Ufford, including Framsden, Earl Soham, Easton Glevering and Wickham Market.
When it comes to the River Lark, the danger zone covers Witnesham, Tuddenham St Martin, Playford and Grundishburgh.
The agency will continue to monitor the situation.
River Little Ouse and River Thet, Attleborough to Thetford
River levels along the Rivers Little Ouse and Thet also remain high after Storm Darragh.
Along the River Little Ouse, the areas most at risk run from Rickinghall to Hockwold, including The Black Bourn.
For the River Thet, the warning is in place from Attleborough to Thetford.
The weather forecast is now dry which means levels could drop in the coming days.
