Man arrested as pedestrian dies following crash near Beccles on the B1062
A man in his 60s has died following a collision near a Suffolk town.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs.
The incident took place at about 8.50pm yesterday (17 November) on the eastbound B1062 Bungay Road, between Barsham and Beccles.
The B1062 was closed while emergency services attended the collision and a scene investigation was carried out, with the road reopened around 2.30am.
The driver was using a blue Volkswagen Transporter and was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he remains.
Paramedics were also in attendance.
Police are keen to hear from any witnesses to the collision, any motorists with dash cam footage and anybody who witnessed the manner of driving of the blue Volkswagen Transporter.
