Southwold man arrested following Wrentham B1127 Chapel Road crash that left motorcyclist with potentially life-changing leg injuries




A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess drugs following a serious crash in Wrentham, near Beccles, yesterday.

Police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the B1127 Chapel Road, at the junction with Guildhall Lane, at 5.15pm.

The incident involved a grey Renault Clio and a blue Yamaha 79 motorcycle.

The motorbike rider, a 31-year-old man, was flown by air ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital with potentially life-changing leg injuries.

A 32-year-old man from the Southwold area was later arrested on suspicion of driving with excess drugs and was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre.

He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

The road was closed until 10pm whilst investigations took place and vehicles were recovered.
