Beccles man Joseph Learner admits possession of nearly 7,000 indecent images of children

A Beccles man has admitted possession of nearly 7,000 indecent images of children.

Joseph Learner, 35, of Ellough Road, appeared before Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on Friday.

He pleaded guilty to possession of 6,952 indecent photographs and videos of children, having been caught on March 22.

Of these, 3,052 images and eight videos were category A, 3,046 images and seven videos were category B and 834 images and five videos were category C.

Learner has been ordered to register with the police until the case is dealt with.

He is due to be sentenced on June 18.
