Man left with minor injuries after attempting to stop burglars from stealing remote control car from shed in Smallgate, Beccles




A man was injured after trying to stop burglars from stealing a remote control car from his shed.

Police are seeking witnesses after the burglary in Beccles on Tuesday evening.

Officers said it happened between 11.30pm and 11.55pm at an address in Smallgate, when a shed at the property was broken into and a large remote control car with 'Rockstar' stickers on it was stolen from inside.

The men were challenged by the victim who attempted to stop them, but they pushed him off, causing minor injuries, before running away with the car.

The suspects are described as two white men, in their 20s, who were wearing dark clothing at the time.

They were seen driving away in a dark coloured vehicle, similar to a Ford Fiesta or a Vauxhall Corsa.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or who is offered a remote control car matching the one pictured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Neighbourhood Response Team at Lowestoft Police Station on 101, quoting reference 27492/21.
