Motorcyclist dies after Beccles crash involving van at junction of A145 and Cucumber Lane

A motorcyclist has died after a collision involving a van in Beccles.

Police were called to the junction of the A145 and Cucumber Lane at about 3.30pm yesterday to a report of a collision involving a white Ford transit van and a black Yamaha motorcycle.

The male rider of the motorcycle, in his 50s, died from his injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and conducted the initial investigation and reopened at about 10.45pm.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact the Joint Norfolk & Suffolk Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Stowmarket, quoting reference CAD 233 of August 12 2024
