Pictures showing damage after large blaze at VC Cooke & Son workshop, in Benacre Road, near Beccles, revealed




Pictures of the damage caused by a large blaze at a workshop near Beccles have been released.

The fire started at VC Cooke & Son, in Benacre Road, at about 7am yesterday.

More than 10 fire crews worked to dampen the flames, including two from Great Yarmouth, in Norfolk.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said the entire building was engulfed in flames, although there were no casualties.

Residents in and around the industrial estate were given a safety warning and were told to keep their doors and windows shut due to the fumes.

The fire as ‘brought under control’ at around midday yesterday.

Emergency services, including police and the Environment Agency were also at the scene.
