Residents are being evacuated after a vehicle crash ruptured a gas main.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue was alerted to Lowestoft Road, in Worlingham, near Beccles, just after 5.30pm.
Police were also called to the scene.
Firefighters from Leiston, Beccles and Lowestoft South are helping to evacuate residents from the surrounding properties.
A spokesperson for the fire service said the crash has caused the gas main to rupture.
Emergency services are waiting for Cadent, a gas company, to arrive.
Lowestoft Road will be shut while the incident is being dealt with.
There are no reported injuries.
