Beccles, Lowestoft, Southwold, Eye and Halesworth set for icy conditions as Met Office issues yellow warning
Commuters should be aware of icy conditions as temperatures are expected to drop below freezing.
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for ice as wintry showers are expected to bring hazardous conditions.
The warning is in place for Norfolk and East Suffolk from 4pm today until 10am tomorrow.
As a result, travellers can expect icy patches on some roads, pavements and cycle paths.
The authority warned residents to keep them and their families safe as hazardous conditions bring a risk of injury.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said to plan to leave five minutes earlier than normal and urged cyclists to consider sticking to main roads.
Temperatures later today could reach as low as -5°C in some parts of the county.
Affected towns include Lowestoft, Beccles, Southwold, Diss, Halesworth, Leiston and Aldeburgh.
