Two women in their 20s at outdoor party taken to hospital with serious injuries caused by fallen oak tree in Ubbeston




Two women who were at a private outdoor party have been left with serious injuries caused by fallen oak tree this evening.

Emergency services, including fire, police and ambulance crews, along with an air ambulance, were called to the scene of the incident at Ubbeston near Heveningham at about 6.35pm.

Two women in their 20s sustained serious injuries in the incident - with one suffering spinal and head injuries, while the others has been left with pelvic and arm injuries.

Both have been taken to hospital for treatment.

A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "It is understood the pair were in attendance with others at a private outdoor party."
