Woman punched in attempted robbery on Bungay's Trinity Street

A woman was punched and had her hair pulled in an attempted robbery, prompting police to appeal for witnesses.

Officers said the incident happened in Bungay on Sunday, May 22 at about 10.30pm on Trinity Street during a dispute over a bike.

A 20-year-old woman said a group of youths confronted her and claimed the bike in her possession was owned by one of the suspects.

A police spokesman said: "One of the group a female, punched the victim to face and pulled her hair.

"The victim then fell to the ground and grabbed hold of the bike to prevent the suspects from taking it."
