Bury Free Press 24-page picture special celebrates Year 6 school leavers

Year 6 pupils across the region are getting ready for what will be their last day at their first school.

For all of them the Covid pandemic, which has gripped the country, has meant their last year at primary school has been something of a rollercoaster and it’s a tribute to all of them that they are still smiling.

Their parents will be left thinking where have all the years gone as it will seem like only yesterday they left them for their first day in their reception class.

The youngsters can look forward to their summer holidays before they start the next chapter of their school lives in the autumn.

And to remind them of those days at primary school the Bury Free Press visited local schools to get these leavers’ photographs.

A 24-page picture special is featured in the latest edition of the Bury Free Press which is available to purchase now.
