64 pupils at Abbots Green Academy in Bury St Edmunds isolating with Year 6 end of term celebrations cancelled




More than 60 pupils at a Bury St Edmunds school are self-isolating after an outbreak of coronavirus.

Abbots Green Academy, in Airfield Road, has confirmed seven Covid-19 cases which has forced 64 children in Year 6 and four staff to isolate.

Headteacher Ang Morrison said they had to cancel all end of year events celebrating Year 6 pupils' time at the school.

She said while they 'share the disappointment of staff and parents', they were looking forward to planning some celebrations as soon as they are able to.
