Haughley to open its gardens during weekend
The fruits of hard work by green fingered residents of Haughley will be on show next weekend.
On June 23 and 24 Haughley stages its third Open Gardens event raising money for the Haughley Voluntary Service and Haughley Village Hall.
Some 15 gardens of varying sizes will be on display and some will run stalls while afternoon tea will also be served to visitors.
A talk about US forces stationed in East Anglia entitled Over Here, Over Sexed, Over Paid will be given by Geoffrey Kay at 3pm on Saturday at the Village Hall.
Organisers Eddie and Sheila Bayfield pictured in the garden of their home are hoping for a good turnout.
Sheila said: "We love our garden and thought it would be good to open it and raise money for the village."
It costs £5 per person for both days and accompanied children are free. Tickets bought in advance from the Post Office cost £4. The event runs from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
