Power is off for some Moreton Hall residents in Bury St Edmunds

Some homes on the Moreton Hall estate in Bury St Edmunds have been without power this morning.

Residents received a power cut alert from UK Power Networks just after 8.30am.

Uk Power Networks said: “We're sorry for any disruption this may have caused you. As this was an unexpected power cut, we didn't know it was going to happen so we were unable to give you advanced notice.”

The UK Power Networks website said the reason for the unplanned power cut was an underground electricity cable had faulted on its high voltage network.

Power is expected to be on between 10am and 11am, but some customers may have power back on sooner.
