A person was taken to hospital after a motorbike crash on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds.

One lane was closed with five miles of queuing traffic due to the incident.

Police were alerted at 10.20am to the crash which was on the A14 eastbound between Thurston and Elmswell.

Traffic stretched back near to junction 44 at Bury St Edmunds.

The East of England Ambulance Service sent one ambulance to the scene and one person was taken to West Suffolk Hospital.
