Air ambulance called to Woolpit after person injures themselves

An air ambulance was called to Woolpit earlier today after a person injured themselves in an accident.

The helicopter landed near Broomhill Lane in the village just after 9.30am this morning.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said they sent an ambulance as well.

The patient was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.
