Air ambulance called to A143 Bury Road, Hepworth, between Bury St Edmunds and Diss, after major crash

An air ambulance along with other emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash at a major route in Suffolk.

It happened at around 6.40pm in the A143 Bury Road, Hepworth, between Bury St Edmunds and Diss.

The ambulance service and fire crews attended while the air ambulance landed at the scene.

One person was trapped and has been rescued by Suffolk Fire and Rescue.

There was heavy traffic in the area and cars were turning around due to the crash.

The extent of any injuries is unclear at this time.
