Although the event was free to attend, donations to support Still Good Food – the centre’s charity of the year – were welcomed.

Allan Hassell, centre manager, said: “We were delighted to welcome over 150 families to Charter Square.

“It was marvellous to host our charity of the year, Still Good Food, at the event for our first fund-raising push of the year for them.

“Thank you to our local community for digging deep to support them.

Still Good Food helps to reduce the amount of food waste by redistributing surplus food through its shops in Bury St Edmunds and Great Barton.
