The Constitutional Club in Bury St Edmuds’ Guildhall Street hosts party for pride month

A party to celebrate Bury St Edmunds’ LGBTQ+ people has gone down a storm, with dancing, singing and ‘general hilarity’.

The event on June 30 attracted 93 gay people, lesbians, queers and allies, who were entertained by Bury St Edmunds drag artist Knuckle Sandwich at the Constitutional Club in Guildhall Street.

Emma Warren, chairperson of the Constitutional Club, called the event ‘an electric night of drag entertainment’ and thanked partygoers.

Emma continued: “It was so great to see everyone feeling welcome and having fun together.

“Also, a massive thank you to all the local businesses who kindly donated to our LGBTQ+ charity raffle.”

These businesses included The Nethergate brewery, @iamteddypokes artist, Waitrose and Tesco.
