Armed police were spotted in Bury St Edmunds town centre and a key road was cordoned off.
Police sealed off St Andrew’s Street South from Woolhall Street to Risbygate Street at about 8am.

Armed police were seen in the area.
The cordon was lifted at about 8.30am and police have left the scene.
