An arrest has been made after a van driver and a motorcyclist failed a roadside drug test following a two-vehicle crash on a busy route.
Police were called at 7.50am today to the A143 outside Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds, after a collision between a van and a motorcycle.
The incident, which was near The Bunbury Arms pub, caused officers to close the A143 but the road has now reopened.
The van driver and the motorcyclist both tested positive for drugs and the van driver was arrested at the scene.
The motorcyclist was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with a possible leg fracture.
A Suffolk Police spokesperson said investigations will continue once they are discharged from hospital care.
