Thurston Community College near Bury St Edmunds to present Legally Blonde The Musical
A college is just two weeks away from opening its production of ‘fabulously fun’ Legally Blonde The Musical.
Taking place from February 14 to 17, more than 80 per cent of the tickets for the Thurston Community College show have already been sold.
More than 150 young people between the ages of 11 to 18 will take part, both on and off stage, including a live student band and technical team.
The production is said to be ‘a fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the adored movie’ - ‘action-packed and exploding with memorable songs and dynamic dances’.
Legally Blonde The Musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.
Head of performing arts Natasha Barnes-Smith said: “Our cast and crew have been astounding. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with a company of students who are amongst the most dedicated students I have had the pleasure of working with.
“The commitment of all of the young people is phenomenal. Whether they play a main role or are in the ensemble, this is a whole cast production and one to which each cast member has given their all. They should all be immensely proud.”
Up to 1800 audience members are expected to attend, across five performances, in the specialist college auditorium at the school, near Bury St Edmunds.
