Sudbury pop-up shop could become a permanent feature
A new pop-up shop has opened in Sudbury.
BiNibabies will be open for two months, during June and July, at The Duck Pods in Gaol Lane.
It sells baby and children’s wear, as well as accessories and everyday childcare items.
The main, award-winning shop, is currently based in Halstead.
Owner Nikki Collier has opened the venture in the hope of launching a second shop in Sudbury, full-time.
“The first day went well and I’m looking forward to the next two months,” said Nikki.
“We had both old and new customers visit and people popping in to wish us well.
“Lockdown has been tough, and I didn’t expect to diversify quite so quickly, but I decided the time to give it a go was now.
“I want to see how things go with a view to opening a shop in Sudbury permanently.
I’m very excited about it as Sudbury is a great town.
The pop-up shop opened on Tuesday. It will be open five days a week, from Tuesday to Saturday, between 10am and 3.30pm.
It sells a wide range of items, with brands including Turtle Dove London, Spanish brand, Newness and its own range of BiNibabies shoes and socks.
The stock is a mix of traditional and contemporary, including dresses, blouses, nightwear, hats and shoes, and will be changed every two weeks.
Prices range from £5 to £55 and there will also be regular sale rails.
It caters for babies and children up to the age of 10.
“People can also still use our website and do click and collect from either shop,” said Nikki, who lives in Halstead.
“All of our stock is high-quality, sustainable fashion, which means it is made to last.
“It’s what we call slow fashion as opposed to fast fashion, which doesn’t last as long.
"We are a little boutique, but with a big heart."
