Steven Abbott brings back Bury St Edmunds sale trail across Howard and Mildenhall estates this weekend
A man is bringing back a town’s popular sale trail after a four-year break and more than 70 households have signed up to take part.
The community sale trail will return to Bury St Edmunds this weekend which is set to run across the Howard and Mildenhall estates tomorrow and Sunday, June 29 and 30.
Organiser Steven Abbott, who has lived in the town for eight years, said it is the first time he has run the event which has not been held since the pandemic.
“It’s long overdue for people to have a clear out, make some money and grab a bargain,” he said.
“I put some feelers out on Facebook about bringing it back and it was clear people were keen — I had loads of messages from people wanting to get involved.”
So far, 75 households have signed up to take part and there is still time to join in.
Steven said: “If anyone reading still wants to take part, all I need is your name and house number so please do get in touch.”
People living on the Howard estate who want to be added to the trail have until 8pm tonight to contact Steven on 07919 927193
Those on the Mildenhall estate have until 8pm tomorrow.
A digital map of all participating addresses will be published on Facebook at 8pm the night before each day of the event.
