A planning statement said the site forms a ‘natural urban extension’ to Barningham.

A design and access statement said the field is currently vacant.

The main access to the development would be from Hopton Road.

The plans detail how the project would encompass a ‘strong framework of landscape and green infrastructure’ elements.

This includes new native tree and hedgerow planting alongside the creation of new habitats.

The new site would consist of ‘open space amounting to 40 per cent’ which would encompass amenity green space, children’s play areas, landscaping, footpaths, drainage and other associated infrastructure.

The entrance of the development would be served by a ‘tree lined avenue’, which would be enclosed by two ‘arrival green areas’.

The site would have car and cycle parking available for prospective residents.

It will also be connected by pedestrian and cycle paths.

Some details on the application, including appearance, scale and layout, have been reserved at present.
