Woolpit Primary School pupil Bradley Lord, 10, of Drinkstone, grows giant marrow weighing more than 20kg
A 10-year-old boy from Suffolk has grown an astonishingly large marrow — weighing around 20 times more than average.
Bradley Lord, a student at Woolpit Primary School, has left his classmates in awe with his impressive 46-pound vegetable.
Weighing in at over 20kg, Bradley’s marrow dwarfs the typical size of marrows which usually range from just one to two kilograms.
His mum Jennifer Lord, who lives in Drinkstone, said: “His uncle takes part in different giant veg competitions, so Bradley got some seeds from him.
“He absolutely loves growing his own vegetables and it makes me really proud.
“We picked it last week and Bradley took it straight into school for everyone to have a look at it.”
This isn't the first time the young gardener has made headlines as he previously gained attention for growing giant cucumbers when he was just six years old.
His giant cucumber weighed in at an impressive six pounds.
