Judges recognise the excellence achieved by the area’s leading companies – and any business based within West Suffolk, regardless of industry sector, can enter.

Bury St Edmunds-based Treatt is the sponsor for our prestigious Innovation award. The global ingredients manufacturer works with some of the biggest brands in the world and innovation is key to it success.

The company is in the process of moving the entirety of its operation to Suffolk Business Park where it continues to lead the way in ingredient manufacture.

Daemmon Reeve, chief executive, said: “We have sponsored this award for several years as it resonates with our passion and commitment to deliver innovative solutions to our global customer base.

“As a natural extracts and ingredients manufacturer, we strive to create extracts and ingredients people love, in a way that protects people, and our planet. Our staff are creative, technically excellent, and dedicated, which allows us to develop and supply a range of products for the most adventurous customer needs.

“Innovation allows businesses to adapt, evolve and grow through disruption, and we look forward to celebrating the efforts local businesses are making to use fresh, intelligent ideas to maximise business opportunities and take their business to the next level.”

The Bury Free Press West Suffolk Business Awards take place at The Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, on October 14. It offers a chance to not only place your business in the spotlight but also network with key players in the West Suffolk business.

Bury St Edmunds-based Vapourtec won the award for innovation last year. The company is a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of flow chemistry technology. It produces equipment used by the world’s top 20 pharmaceutical companies.

Vapourtec employs 24 staff members and exports 85 per cent of products globally. In response to the pandemic, it created the world’s first hypochlorous acid, instant disinfectant maker, and sprayer. The product contains a powerful disinfectant, packaged in a hand-held device, which can be used on the go in a variety of public spaces.

“It was a great evening and we were delighted to win,” said Vapourtec founder Duncan Guthrie.

“The award was particularly good, as for other winners on the night, for team spirit.”
