Man, 80, admits nine sexual offences at Ipswich Crown Court
An 80-year-old Bury St Edmunds man has appeared in court to admit nine sexual offences, some of which were committed more than three decades ago.
Peter Bradley, of Abbott Road pleaded guilty to the charges on Tuesday at Ipswich Crown Court.
Bradley has admitted eight offences of sexual assault on a girl aged under 16 and one offence of indecency with a child.
The court heard that the offences spanned a 19-year period from 1983 to 2002.
Bradley pleaded not guilty to an offence of indecency with a child between 1991 and 1994. That charge will remain on file.
Judge David Goodin told Bradley that he would continue to remain remanded in custody until his next court appearance on October 30, for a further case management hearing.
