Bury St Edmunds road closed due to flooding

Suffolk Highways has closed Nowton Road in Bury St Edmunds due to flooding.
It was alerted to the flood water earlier today and has shut the road.
Two cars were trapped in the water and have since been recovered.
A spokeswoman said: "We've instructed people to avoid the area until the water disperses."
She also advised motorists not to drive through flood water.
