The A143 outside Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds, closed after two-vehicle crash as motorcyclist taken to West Suffolk Hospital

A busy road has been closed and is causing delays after a motorcyclist was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash.

Police were called at 7.50am to a crash between a van and a motorcycle on the A143 outside Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds.

The route is currently shut with police at the scene and recovery on its way.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said a motorcyclist was taken by an ambulance to a West Suffolk Hospital with a possible leg fracture.

According to the AA traffic map, there are delays in the area.
