Cullum Road in Bury St Edmunds closed for emergency repairs due to burst water main
An emergency road closure is in place at a town’s busy road due to a burst water main.
Cullum Road in Bury St Edmunds has been closed since 2.30pm today, according to Suffolk Highways, as Anglian Water engineers carry out emergency repairs.
It is currently unclear how long the road will be closed for.
A spokesperson for Anglian Water said: “We’re sorry for any traffic disruption caused to road users on Cullum Road in Bury St Edmunds today.
“We have needed to close the road to enable us to repair a burst main.
“Our teams will be on site working to complete the job and reopen the road as normal as soon as they possibly can.
“We are grateful to customers and road users for their patience while we carry out this essential work.”
