Cannabis factory uncovered by police at property in Ridley Road, Bury St Edmunds




A cannabis factory growing more than 1,000 cannabis plants has been uncovered by police.

It follows a raid at a property in Ridley Road, on the Westley Estate, in Bury St Edmunds, on Saturday under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act.

Officers seized 1,072 cannabis plants as well as a large quantity of cannabis packaged for onward sale.

A large sum of cash was seized from the address, estimated to be £16,000.

A quantity of high value items were recovered as part of the ongoing investigation including a motorbike.

No arrests have yet been made and inquiries into who is responsible are on-going.
