Car fire on A14 in Bury St Edmunds causes delays

Firefighters and police were alerted to a car fire on the A14 in Bury St Edmunds this morning.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to a heavily smoke logged car at junction 42 at 9.01am.
A spokesman said: "It was alight on arrival and police were requested for monitoring traffic."
Hose reels were used to extinguish the fire.
No-one was injured in the incident.
It caused delays on the A14 eastbound between junctions 41 and 42 Bury St Edmunds West which were expected to clear by 10.45am.
