Cause of Gressingham Food fire blaze, Redgrave, revealed – after crews from Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill and Diss attended over the weekend




The cause of a blaze at a food factory near Diss has been revealed.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 4.33am on Saturday to a report of a fire at Gressingham Foods in Hinderclay Road, Redgrave.

Six engines, from Ixworth, Diss, Bury St Edmunds, Haverhill, East Harling and Thetford, attended the scene.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said an investigation into the blaze had completed.

It was determined the fire, in a packaging area, was due to an electrical fault.
