Staff at a travel agency in Bury St Edmunds have been busy cake-making to raise money for the Rainbow Ward at West Suffolk Hospital.

Seven members of staff at Hays Travel took part in the fund-raiser in October in memory of John Hays, founder and chief executive of the company who died over a year ago on November 30, 2020.

Staff raised £201 for the Rainbow Ward, a cause close to their hearts.

Store manager Katie Elzanaty said: "The Rainbow Ward hit home to all of us as we all know of families who have had children cared for in the unit including one of our staff members.

"We were prompted to do the event in memory of John Hays who supported charitable causes."

Fund-raising manager Sally Daniels added: "Thank you to everyone at Hays for supporting the Rainbow ward at West Suffolk Hospital."
