The Playground in Bury St Edmunds to host Autism Anglia's Muddy Fun Run

A charity offering support to children with autism has announced its obstacle course fund-raising event will go ahead next month.

Autism Anglia's Muddy Fun Run which has a 1km course with 30 obstacles for the public to tackle is set to take place at the Playground in Bury St Edmunds on March 19.

The event was unable to go ahead for the past two years due to the pandemic and the charity is hoping to raise much-needed funds.

Participants will be asked to raise money through sponsorship, either individually, as a family or as a team.

As well as mud, participants will have to tackle slides, monkey bars, rope climbs and a Ninja Warrior style ramp.

Kate Hancock, chief executive for the charity said: "We are so pleased to finally be able to put on a live fund-raising event, the demand for our services is ever increasing but we desperately need the support of our community to ensure we can meet these demands.

"I am very grateful to The Playground for supporting this event with discounted places," she added.

The event will take place at 2pm. Tickets cost £10 per person.
