George Chilvers, community fund-raising manager, said: “A huge thank you to everyone involved in the Charity Pakenham Beer and Musical Festival. To raise £17,000 is truly remarkable and means so much to the hospice.

“Events like these not only bring communities together but help us to continue being there for people when they need us most.

“We’re so grateful to the Pakenham Social Club and everyone who supported the day.”

The funds raised from the festival will support St Nicholas Hospice Care’s work across West Suffolk and Thetford which helps people and their loved ones facing dying, death and grief.
