Bury Abbey Rotary Club host celebration at The Guildhall, in Bury St Edmunds, after raising thousands of pounds for Suffolk charities

The Bury Abbey Rotary Club has celebrated its recent fund-raising achievements with a special evening at the Guildhall in Bury St Edmunds.

Members proudly announced they had raised £60,000 in the year 2024/2025.

Last year’s classic car show, in Culford, raised £35,000 of the total.

Representatives from charities that have benefited from the club’s fund-raising were among those invited.

Nic Hardy, Bury Abbey Rotary Club president, said: “We are excited to host a variety of fundraising events in the next 12 months, including the 2025 classic car show, a golf day, a black-tie St Edmunds Day dinner, and an online auction in 2026.”

The celebratory event, on June 12, was sponsored by Ashtons Legal.

Guests enjoyed refreshments and networking opportunities.
