Could RAF Mildenhall be hosting president Joe Biden this week?

A Suffolk air force base has remained tight-lipped following reports that president Joe Biden is set to touch down there on Wednesday.

Social media and other news outlets have reported that the 46th president of the United States will visit RAF Mildenhall in his first foreign trip during his time in office.

During the visit, it is said he and the first lady, Jill, will meet with U.S. Air Force personnel and their families stationed there.

After this, he will supposedly meet with Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Thursday to talk about bilateral issues including climate change, trade and Northern Ireland, before going to the G7 Summit being held in Carbis Bay, near St Ives, in Cornwall.

The president's trip to the UK will conclude with a visit to Windsor Castle to meet Her Majesty The Queen.

SuffolkNews has contacted RAF Mildenhall to confirm the visit of the president.
