St Nicholas Hospice Care’s 10k run to return in Bury St Edmunds
A charity run in Bury St Edmunds is set to return for the second time following last year’s event which raised nearly £20,000.
St Nicholas Hospice Care’s 10K run will return on Sunday, September 29 and will see runners tackle the circular course from Angel Hill, through the Abbey Gardens and towards Moreton Hall.
Last year’s run raised £18,000 for the hospice charity which supports hose in West Suffolk and Thetford facing death and grief.
Charlie De-Moore, events manager, said: “We are so excited that our 10K run is back again for 2024.
“Our first event last year was such a success and we’re happy to be building on that to make 2024’s event even better.
“Every penny raised from events such as this make a huge difference to us, and we’re hoping people will get behind us again this year and make sure every kilometre they run raises funds for the work we do.”
It costs £25 to register on the hospice’s website which can found by clicking here.
The run will be chip-timed by an external company and there will also be trophies for competitive runners as well as a running-themed prize for the top fundraiser.
All finishers will receive medals and post-race refreshments.
