Suffolk Police appeal for witnesses following serious crash on A14 in Rougham on Sunday that left man in critical condition

A man remains in a critical condition following a crash on the A14 in Rougham, near Bury St Edmunds, at the weekend.

Officers were called to reports of a single-vehicle crash on the eastbound carriageway just after 10.20pm on Sunday, involving a red Yamaha motorcycle.

The rider, a man in his 50s, was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital having sustained serious injuries.

His condition is currently described as critical but stable.

The carriageway was closed whilst an investigation took place and the vehicle was recovered. It reopened at 7.40am yesterday morning.

Police are urging witnesses to the incident to come forward, and are asking motorists with a dashcam fitted in their car who were driving in the area at the time to review their footage.
