Multiple fire crews tackled a building fire in Bury St Edmunds on Tuesday.

Fire Control received a call about an alarm in Heldhaw Road at around 9.50pm.

Two crews from Bury and a crew from Ixworth attended after a fire was discovered on the first floor of the building.

They used two sets of breathing apparatus, a jet and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze, and a thermal imaging camera to help identify hot spots.

The fire was under control by about 10.30pm.
