Delays on A143 outside Great Barton, near Bury St Edmunds, due to broken down agricultural vehicle and oil spill




There are delays on a key route near Bury St Edmunds which is partially blocked due to a broken down agricultural vehicle.

Officers were called just after 8am to the incident southbound on the A143 outside Great Barton, near the Bunbury Arms pub.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson said there is also an oil spill at the scene so Suffolk Highways has been notified.

According to the AA traffic map, there are long queues on the A143 heading back towards Ixworth.

Officers remain at the scene.

Police were additionally called just before 7:50am to reports of a broken down vehicle on the A134 in Bury at the junction with Green Lane.

Recovery is on its way.
