A14 reopens between Rougham and Thurston and man taken to hospital after four-vehicle crash




A man has been taken to hospital after a four-vehicle crash on the A14 near Bury St Edmunds this evening.

Fire, police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene of the collision on the A14 between junctions 45 at Rougham and 46 at Thurston, which was first reported at about 5.20pm according to the AA route planner.

There were severe delays and slow moving traffic following the crash, which happened in second lane of the eastbound carriageway.

A police spokesman said a man has been taken to hospital by ambulance following the collision, but the extent of his injuries was not yet known.

The road reopened at about 7pm.
