A1101 in Bury St Edmunds closed after lorry overturns at roundabout and spills diesel




A key road in a town is closed after a lorry overturned at a roundabout and spilled diesel.

Officers were called at just before 7.15am to the scene of the incident on the A1101, near the Marham Park estate in Bury St Edmunds.

A Suffolk Police spokesperson advised drivers to avoid the area.

There are no injuries and no other vehicles are involved.

Suffolk Highways has been called out and the road has been closed to clean the spilled diesel.

Officers remain at the scene and are awaiting recovery for the lorry.

The road should reopen by early afternoon
