Summer Show at Bury St Edmunds arc Shopping Centre raises more than £1,000





A shopping centre manager expressed his delight after an annual family fun day raised more than £1,000 for charity.

Allan Hassell thanked all those who attended the Summer Show at the arc in Bury St Edmunds last Wednesday.

The money raised was donated to Bury’s Rickshaw, the arc’s chosen charity of the year.

The event – now in its third year – began with a dog show and pups had a chance to win a rosette across five categories, including Loveliest Lady, Best Dressed Pooch and Most Fabulous Fella.

There was also face painting, balloon modelling and an Olympic-themed mini golf and sports day.

Mr Hassell said: “We’re delighted to have raised money for our marvellous charity of the year.

“We’re passionate about supporting causes that help our community.”
