Plans for Kaspa’s Desserts in Bury St Edmunds at former Oxfam shop withdrawn

Plans to convert a former Bury St Edmunds charity shop into a Kaspa’s Desserts have been withdrawn.

Dee Patel, of Dee’s Group Ltd, submitted proposals to replace the shop front at the former Oxfam at 27 Cornhill, which closed in March, for the desserts eatery.

Advertisement and listed building consent for the transformation were also sought.

However, all three applications, lodged with West Suffolk Council, have been withdrawn.

A Kaspa’s Desserts had operated across the road at 30-31 Cornhill and closed following a fire on August 20.

Signage at the front of the premises has since been removed.
